My parents and I used to go for walks around the neighborhood.  My dad and I would walk in the street while my mom would tightrope along  the curb's edge. She'd always joke about my dad being too tall so she'd call him "shorty" as she tiptoes besides him.

My parents, my younger brother, and I used to also go for walks around the beach of Southern Cali. That was also a nice childhood memory.

Same for me, aworldcompressed. I have one grandmother who is alive at the moment.

That is a great memory.  It is funny how the simpliest things can just stick in our head.

playing makebelieve w/ my sister, pretending we're princesses. :)

I loved your comment on RiceBunny's blog entry about thin vs. 'healthy'. It gives a good perspective on the whole issue, about how weight is great, and thin is bad. Being naturally skinny, it's been hard to avoid the comparisons (like you said), but its great getting a reminder from someone that loving yourself is truly attractive. Being okay with yourself is important, and I'm glad to know that there are others out there who believe in that too. Thanks!
